The long-standing fencing on Ashwell Road has a new look. Fresh signs have gone up announcing Water Lily Townhouses, a development on Skwah First Nation land. While details are scarce, the signs offer a glimpse of what’s to come, with phrases like “Embrace relaxed living in your dream townhouse” and “Family-friendly living designed for comfort and convenience.”
There’s no site plan or project website available yet, but the developer is Andmark, a company with a history of residential projects in Chilliwack. They are also behind the ongoing Andmar project at the corner of Promontory Road & Thomas Road, a much larger and more ambitious development.

The site sits on Skwah First Nation land, adding to the growing trend of Indigenous communities collaborating with developers to address housing needs. Ashwell Road’s central location is notable, but no further information has been released about the townhouses, including unit sizes, pricing, or timeline.
Andmark describes itself as a leader in sustainable, community-focused projects, with a portfolio that includes Englewood Village, Englewood Courtyard, Malloway Village, and Skynest. These developments have earned recognition within the industry, and Water Lily looks to build on that foundation as more details emerge.

For now, the signs are the only tangible update. The project website, waterlily.ca, hasn’t launched yet, leaving room for speculation. We’ll continue to watch for updates as more information becomes available.
