A new condo development is making its way to downtown Chilliwack, with the launch of a project website for Sakoon Living, a 48-unit residential building proposed for 45624 Wellington Avenue. The project adds to the growing number of higher-density developments emerging near Five Corners and within walking distance of District 1881.
According to the project website, Sakoon Living is envisioned as a “refined collection of contemporary residences” offering one, two, and three-bedroom condos with open-concept layouts, hardwood flooring, and smart home features. The site highlights approximately 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a fitness centre, kids’ play area, community lounge, co-working spaces, and secure underground parking.
The project is being developed by White Hill Development and Unibuild Construction Management, with design contributions from ParaMorph Architecture Inc. and Chy Interior Design. Together, the team brings experience from across the residential and commercial construction sectors in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Marketing materials describe the location as offering “urban convenience” alongside “stylish comfort,” with easy access to schools, parks, restaurants, shopping, and the Chilliwack Coliseum. The overall pitch emphasizes walkability, lifestyle amenities, and modern design—though, as always, the language reflects the developer’s own branding and vision for the project.
The property, previously home to a single-family house, has already been cleared, and while no construction timeline has been publicly confirmed, the launch of the website suggests that presales may begin in the near future.
As Chilliwack continues to grow, particularly in its downtown core, projects like this reflect the city's ongoing shift toward more compact and connected forms of housing. We'll continue to follow along as Sakoon Living moves through the development process and updates become available.
