Hey, I’m Dale Johnson and I've been getting asked this question a lot. I was born and raised right here in Chilliwack and have had a front-row seat as our community tripled in size over the years. I’ve always been fascinated by city planning—honestly, in some alternate universe, I probably became a city planner. Instead, I ended up with web skills, a love of research, and an unreasonable need to organize information. And that’s how Build Chilliwack was born.

Let’s clear something up: I don’t work for the City of Chilliwack. I’m not funded by anyone in the real estate world, and I have no ties to any developers. Honestly, I’m so far outside that circle my emails to them never even get a reply. Build Chilliwack is 100% powered by my curiosity, the support of my lifelong friend Josh Fuller and a growing group of amazing people who send me tips and updates.
